Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a contract between you and Cognaris Ltd (“Cognaris”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of RelateWise AI — an AI‑powered subscription coaching and learning platform for people navigating relationships (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.

2. Key definitions

• Account – your registered profile that grants access to the Service.
• Subscription – the paid plan permitting access for a set billing period.
• User Content – data or material you submit or create within the Service.

3. Eligibility & account security

• You must be 18 years or older and able to form a contract under English law.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and all activity under your Account.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Fees are charged in advance via Stripe (web) or through the App Store / Google Play (mobile) and are exclusive of VAT unless stated.
• Subscriptions auto‑renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the current period’s end.
• Free trials convert to paid plans unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Consumers have a 14‑day cooling‑off right; use during that period incurs a pro‑rata charge.
• Payments are non‑refundable except as required by law.

5. AI‑generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide relationship coaching and educational content. AI‑generated outputs are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute professional therapy, legal, or medical advice. You should seek qualified professional help for serious relationship or mental health concerns.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Violate any law or others’ rights.
• Upload malware or attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
• Share credentials or allow unauthorised access.
• Generate spam or harass other users.
• Attempt to extract or reverse‑engineer AI models or training data.

7. Intellectual property

• We retain all rights in the Service and associated content.
• You retain ownership of User Content but grant us a licence to host and process it to operate the Service.
• AI‑generated outputs may be used for any lawful purpose at your own risk.

8. Data protection

Personal data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Warranties & disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties. AI content is informational only and not professional advice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error‑free.

10. Limitation of liability

• Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
• Otherwise, our aggregate liability in any 12‑month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your Account for breach or non‑payment. You may cancel at any time. Sections that should survive (e.g. IP, liability) remain in force.

12. Changes to these Terms

We will give at least 14 days’ notice of material changes by email or in‑app banner. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

English law governs these Terms. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to consumer protections in your home jurisdiction.
